Finally, on Thursday, Xiaomi has unveiled its first VR headset, Mi VR Headset in China. Xiaomi’s VR headset comes with ‘two-way zipper design’ that ensures the smartphone inside the housing and doesn’t fall out. Xiaomi’s VR headset is made out of a combination of EVA and Lycra. According to Xiaomi, to prevent discomfort when using the headset for an extended duration time, that kind of materials were chosen.
Xiaomi hasn’t provided any pricing details about Mi VR headset still, but the company has made the device available to beta testers. Xiaomi has opened registration of the VR Headset for beta users only. After registration, Xiaomi will select users then only they can acquire it.
Xiaomi’s Mi VR headset measures 201x107x91mm with 208.7 gram of weight and can fit phones that are 4.7 to 5.7 inch in size. Xiaomi has used anti-glare lenses of just 0.01 mm to provide clarity and accuracy. the company is also providing non-slip pads into the VR headset. there is also a standalone app that lets users view 360-degree content and play VR games designed for the headset.
Xiaomi’s VR headset will come with different personalization option for design as company provides for other products also. Company has also showcased few designs on the site.
Xiaomi has recently launched Redmi 3s and Redmi 3s Prime in India.
