BJP Parliamentary board meeting to appoint next CM of Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Party President, Amit Shah has called the Party’s parliamentary board meeting on Wednesday to appoint new chief minister of Gujarat as Anandiben Patel, a first women chief minister of Gujarat has recently offered to resign as a Chief Minister due to age and giving enough time to next CM for preparation of next Gujarat Assembly Election 2017.

State party chief Vijay Rupani may have emerged as the front-runner for the CM candidate. Nitin Patel is also in this list. RSS has already declared that they want Amit Shah as CM in his homeground. Reportedly, the board will meet at 9 am at 7, Race Course Road, PM Narendra Modi’s official residence to pick Gujarat CM today.

There are many BJP ministers are frontrunners to be the next CM of Gujarat but there are two main candidates as CM Nitin Patel and Vijay Rupani. Vijay Rupani is the most favourite frontrunner in the race of Gujarat’s next chief minister. President of Gujarat BJP Vijay Rupani has claose relation to PM Modi so there is more probability of being next CM of Gujarat. Vijay Rupani is the only present cabinet minister who was in jail during emergency in India.

The second frontrunner for the next CM is Nitin Patel, the senior-most minister in the state. Next year in 2017, Gujarat Assembly Elections are going to occur and BJP needs to keep Patels on its side. The Patel Community have a great influence in the Gujarat that can help BJP to acquire dominance but Patels have been restive over their demand for quota.

According to sources, RSS wants BJP president Amit Shah to be best suited as a next CM of Gujarat but there are very few chances of returning of Amit Shah to homeground as Modi wants Shah to continue with his present assignment of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab elections.

According to sources, Mr. Rupani may be the next CM of Gujarat as he a senior member of the party and already handled responsibilities in both Party and the government and also he has been an MP. He is minister for water resources, labour and employment.

By the end of the day, BJP will declare the next face of CM in upcoming Gujarat State General Assembly Election 2017.
